SAPOE Coronavirus reopening and operation of OEC and reintroducing visits by schools

This guidance was commissioned in 2020 by the Scottish Government and developed by the Scottish Advisory Panel for Outdoor Education (SAPOE) in partnership with Education Scotland, Association of Heads of Outdoor Education Centres and the Youthlink Scotland Outdoor Group. In response to the Scottish Government's advice around school day visits during the autumn term, this will support the safe reopening and operation of Outdoor Education Centres and may be applicable for planning overnight visits when they are permitted to resume.
